Terms of Service
Version v1.0-2026-08 · Effective August 2026
In short
- PlayCheck accounts are for adults (18+). Children take part as dependents under a parent or guardian.
- You're responsible for your account, the accuracy of what you enter, and keeping your password safe.
- Organizations set their own fees. PlayCheck helps record and verify payments; it does not hold your money or store card numbers.
- Use PlayCheck lawfully and respectfully. We can suspend accounts that abuse the platform or endanger children.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
Welcome to PlayCheck. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and PlayCheck ("PlayCheck", "we", "us") covering your use of the PlayCheck website, applications, and services (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Who can use PlayCheck
You must be at least 18 years old to create a PlayCheck account. The Platform serves youth sports, but children never hold their own login. A parent, legal guardian, or other responsible adult creates an account and adds each child as a dependent that they manage on the child's behalf.
By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that any information you provide is accurate. If you add a child as a dependent, you confirm you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have the guardian's permission to act for them.
2. Your account
- Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Give accurate, current information and keep it up to date, including your own and your dependents' details.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
- One person should not hold multiple personal accounts to evade limits, suspensions, or verification.
3. Managing dependents and other people's data
When you add a dependent or enter information about another person (for example, an emergency contact), you confirm you have the right to share that information and to accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy on their behalf where the law allows. You are responsible for keeping their information accurate and for exercising their privacy choices responsibly.
4. Organizations, events, and payments
Training organizations, tournament organizers, and facilities ("Organizations") use PlayCheck to run programs, events, rosters, and registrations. Organizations set their own fees, schedules, rules, and refund policies. Your agreement for a specific program or event is with that Organization, not with PlayCheck.
- PlayCheck records entries, obligations, and payments so Organizations and clubs can see what is owed and what has been paid.
- Where payment is made outside the Platform (for example, bank transfer or e-wallet), you upload proof and the Organization verifies it. PlayCheck does not hold funds and does not store card numbers.
- Amounts an Organization reduces, waives, or adds are shown to you on the Platform. Always pay the amount currently shown for your entry.
- Refunds, credits, and disputes about a program or event are handled by the Organization under its own policy. PlayCheck can show records to help resolve them.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break any law, or use the Platform to harm, harass, exploit, or endanger anyone — especially children.
- Impersonate another person, misrepresent your age, or provide false verification documents.
- Upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or disrupt or overload the Platform.
- Copy, scrape, resell, or misuse other people's data obtained through the Platform.
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes someone else's rights.
6. Content you provide
You keep ownership of the information, documents, and images you upload ("Your Content"). You grant PlayCheck a limited licence to host, process, and display Your Content only as needed to operate the Platform and provide the services you and your Organizations use. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload, including photographs of players.
7. PlayCheck's intellectual property
The Platform itself — its software, design, and branding — belongs to PlayCheck or its licensors. These Terms do not give you any right to our name, logos, or software beyond using the Platform as intended.
8. Service availability
We work to keep the Platform reliable but provide it "as is" and "as available." We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may carry out maintenance that temporarily interrupts access. We are not responsible for events outside our reasonable control.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, PlayCheck is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Philippine law. Disputes about fees, refunds, eligibility, or the conduct of an event are between you and the relevant Organization.
10. Indemnity
You agree to cover PlayCheck's reasonable losses arising from your misuse of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of someone else's rights.
11. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time, subject to any outstanding obligations to an Organization. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, create risk to children, or misuse the Platform. Some records may be kept after closure where the law or a legitimate purpose requires it — see the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves or the law changes. When we make a material change, we will update the version and effective date above and, where appropriate, ask you to accept the new Terms. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting rights you may have under mandatory consumer or data-protection law.
